Faith

We Believe in God

He is the one true God. Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Ge 1:1, 26-27; 3:22; Ps 90:2; Mt 28:19; Jn 14:26; 1Pe 1:2; 2Co 13:14)

We Believe in Jesus

He is truly God and truly man, existing for all eternity and having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a life without sin, was crucified on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven where He now reigns as our High Priest and Mediator. (Mt 1:22-23; Is 9:6; Jn 1:1-5; 8:58; 10:30-38; 12:45; 14:10-30; 17:5,24; He 1:3; 4:14-15; 7:3; 1Co 15:3-4; Ro 1:3-4)

We Believe in the Holy Spirit

His ministry is to glorify Jesus Christ and during this age, to convict men of sin, indwell, guide, instruct, comfort, and empower the believer for godly living and service. We further believe that all Christians have been promised the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in their lives. Although we cannot dictate the Holy Spirit as to when and where He acts, the promise of His presence may be claimed at the point of conversion (Ac 2:38). The Holy Spirit then gives gifts of ministry to each one for the good of the body    (1Co 12:4-7). We do not believe that sign gifts exist to  prove someone is saved nor should they be practiced to draw attention to the individual.

We Believe in the Bible

Both Old and New Testaments are inspired of God (God Breathed), without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. (2Ti 3:16; 2Pe 1:20-21; 2Ti 1:13; Ps 12:6; 119:105, 160; Pro 30:5.)

We Believe a Man is Saved by Grace Through Faith in Jesus Christ

  • Man is saved BY Grace – the basis of   salvation. It had been paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ. (Eph 2:8; 1:7)
  • Through Faith – the means by which one receives the gift of salvation. (Eph 2:8)
  • In Baptism (immersion) – the point in time when sins are forgiven and salvation is received. (Ac 2:38; Col 2:12; Ro 6:4)
  • For Good Works – the result of salvation. Good works are the necessary evidences of faith that saves.  (Eph 2:8-10)

We Believe God Calls Us to be Good Stewards

Stewardship is the giving back to God in areas of money, abilities and time. God is the giver of all good and perfect gifts and therefore the owner of all things before and after they have been given to us. He promises to reward with His blessings those who faithfully give back to Him. His blessings are given in accordance with man’s faithfulness and generosity. (Ja 1:17; Lk 6:38; Ro 12:8; 2Co 9:7; Mal 3:8-10)

We Believe God Calls Us for a Mission

We believe that God Himself gave us our Mission to make disciples in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and to train them to become fruitful in their Christian life. (Mt 28:18-20; Lk 24:36-49; 2Ti 2:2)
